Me, Myself and I, An Idea.

Me, Myself and I - An Idea

The idea for my ‘Me, Myself and I’ is to show the type of person I am by expressing my type of personality. We were presented with the assignment brief and I instantly came up with an idea. It essentially would be me and a co-worker from the theatre of which I used to work at before moving away for university going through pre-production work for a show and rigging lights, wiring the sound system and building set. Then a crowd of people would be in the foyer and taking their seats in the theatre and then my co-worker would say “Front of house clearance, go curtain” then as the curtain goes up the stage is masked out and behind the curtain is a shot of myself looking at the entrance of CCAD(Cleaveland College of Art and Design), then I walk in and enroll on the course but as I enroll I would put the script I was handed at the theatre down on the desk and it would read 'Christopher Renney The Next Chapter'.

I doubted myself with this idea and when in doubt.....turn to Facebook. I was scrolling endlessly through my news feed I saw somebody had shared a link to a webpage, this web page to be exact. http://www.buzzfeed.com/mrloganrhoades/18-struggles-only-socially-outgoing-introverts-understand#.foPnjbPdnp I personally feel like this describes my personality down to the T. After reading through this link it made me think of how in certain situations I feel like i have zero control over my body and that I am just a spectator looking on. So the idea was that there would be an in-head Chris which would be filmed in a dark room and with nothing but a chair and then there would be the Chris in the real world doing as the other one said and then in some situations in-head Chis takes control.

When I tried to plot point this it seemed that the Extro/Intro idea would run too long and if I took out somethings it wouldn't work in my opinion. It was suggested that I try and combine the two but the styles were both very different and I couldn't find away to make them fit which felt right to me. Thus the decision to make the first idea which I will call 'Enter Stage Left'.
